Ashley A. Dodd

Ashley is an associate of the firm who handles a wide variety of transportation, business litigation and personal injury matters. She is a member of the Florida Bar and licensed to practice in all Florida state courts and the U.S. District Courts for the Middle and Northern Districts of Florida. Prior to joining Ferrelle Burns, Ashley started her career as associate at a local personal injury firm, practicing in all areas of personal injury, workers’ compensation and family law. Most recently, she was employed as general counsel for Eleets Transportation Company, Inc., a transportation and logistics company based in Jacksonville, Florida. During her tenure as counsel for Eleets, Ashley advised the company on various legal issues including motor carrier, broker and freight forwarder liability, transportation contracts, freight claims and collections, labor and employment, regulatory compliance, licensing and registration, and other general corporate matters prevalent in the transportation industry. Ashley also obtained her Certificate in Transportation and Logistics from the University of North Florida to enable her to better understand and advise clients in the transportation industry. Having practiced in private law firms as well as serving as counsel in the corporate setting, Ashley is uniquely situated to counsel the firm’s business clients with respect to effective strategies for managing corporate risks and litigation.

Ashley was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida and is a graduate of St. Johns Country Day School in Orange Park, Florida. For her undergraduate studies, Ashley attended Florida State University, where she was a member of several student organizations, including Phi Alpha Delta pre-law fraternity and Delta Delta Delta sorority. Ashley received her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, cum laude, with minors in Psychology and Communication Following her graduation from FSU, Ashley attended and graduated from Florida Coastal School of Law, where received a certification in Advanced Legal Research, Writing and Drafting and was a recipient of a Pro Bono Honors Award for giving back to her community. Ashley was also recognized as a Book Award recipient in Lawyering Process II.

When not practicing law, Ashley enjoys staying active, running, watching FSU football, and spending time with her husband, Bret, and twin daughters, Charlie and Sadie. She also serves as a member of the Architectural Review Committee of the Paradise Preserve Homeowners Association.
